Get landscape mode on your iPhone with SBRotator

By | February 1, 2015

A very interesting feature that is available on all of the models of the iPad, but also over on the iPhone 6 Plus is the ability of the device to rotate its screen automatically into landscape mode on the home screen and even lock screen and this can now easily be fixed with the help of SBRotator.

While I am personally not a big fan of using landscape over on my iOS devices, it is worth stating that the feature is something that thousands of people from all around the world who do not have an iPad or the iPhone 6 Plus would like to see on their devices. As outlined earlier, SBRotator is the Cydia tweak that you may want to consider in the case that you would like your device to get into landscape mode on the home screen and lock screen, regardless of its model, as long as it is running iOS 8.iPad-Landscape-1024x576

To put things better into perspective, the Cydia app automatically places a preference panel over in the stock Settings app once it has been installed to allow users to configure a couple of different aspects of the app that can further control the rotation process on your iPhone. With this in mind, the feature can be turned off with the help of a kill switch, but users can also go ahead and decide whether they want to rotate both the Home Screen and Lock Screen, or one in particular. Together with this, users also get the possibility to choose whether to rotate a couple of different applications that cannot be otherwise rotated such as the App Store, the Settings app or the Videos app, together with a couple of more.SBRotator-8-Preferences-1024x907

Another one of the cool features that the Cydia app offers is the fact that users can even choose how longs it takes for the rotation process to take place. In the case that they would like to show off with a smoother animation that takes place over longer time, then that can be easily done as well, all in the preference panel added by SBRotator.

Based on everything that has been outlined so far, what do you personally think about SBRotator? Do you think that it is a Cydia app worth downloading? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
