Remove iPhone Camera Modes with CameraModes

By | January 7, 2015

Apple did a very good job adding several interesting features to the iPhone camera app. The only problem is, some of these new features are not for everyone. I often find myself accidentally switching from Video to Time-lapse when all I want to do is switch to Slo-mo. It’s a small issue, but for many it is an annoying issue as well.

The good news is, there is a jailbreak tweak to fix that. Meet CameraModes, a jailbreak tweak designed to allow iPhone users to remove camera modes they don’t really need. The result is a much cleaner and more functional camera app.CameraModes-1024x908

The jailbreak tweak itself is available from BigBoss’s repo for free. Once you’ve installed it, you can access the tweak from Settings > CameraModes. You can switch all the camera features you don’t need off in one tap; make sure you keep at least one camera mode activated in order to prevent the camera app from crashing.

The tweak is so simple to apply; you don’t even have to do a respring for it to take effects. You may have to close the iOS camera app for the tweak to work, but that’s it. This is definitely a nice mod to have.
