Pangu Releases Their First Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 9; Support for iPhone 6s Included As Well

Toady, Pangu has finally released the very first public untethered and much anticipated jailbreak tweak for iOS 9. Of course, it can be installed on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch; all the devices are included in the tweak. How to Jailbreak iOS 8.x on Mac

Earlier, we showed you how you can jailbreak your iOS 8 device on a Windows computer. Since Pangu is compatible with Windows only, it means that you can’t jailbreak your device using a Mac. But, don’t worry as we have found a solution to jailbreak your iOS 8 device on Mac.

Keep in mind that the jailbreak currently provides SSH access only and you are required to install Cydia manually. Even if you do so, you’ll still find a lot of tweaks that are not yet compatible with iOS 8 so be prepared for disappointment.

  • Make sure you’re running on iOS 8 or 8.1
  • Take a backup of your device with iTunes
  • Restore your device to iOS 8.1 using iTunes since the over the air update will create issues

The Pangu team recently released the jailbreak for iOS 8 and 8.1 devices, which was quite unexpected to be released so soon. Although it doesn’t install Cydia, you can install it manually on your device by following the guide here.

The iOS 8 jailbreak is here!

It’s finally here! After a couple of speculations in the past together with different stories regarding which developer will release the iOS 8 jailbreak for iOS 8- iOS 8.1, it seems like Pangu was finally able to get things done well.

Just a few hours ago, the team announced that the jailbreak also works on all of the devices that support iOS 8, so that includes the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air 2 which is simply great news. However, there’s still another side to this story. While Pangu may have managed to release the jailbreak itself, it is more for developers rather than consumers, as there would be no actual way for consumers to enjoy the jailbreak in the case that they had no apps to install. iOS 8 Jailbreak is now one step closer

Well it looks like good news is on the way, the latest tweet from the PanguTeam, the chinese hacking team responsible for jailbreaking iOS 7.1.1, are now one step closer closer with the iOS 8 jailbreak. The tweet reads: “iOS 8 Jailbreak is now one step closer”.

iOS 8 jailbreakHowever for some unknown reason the tweet was deleted minutes later. Just after typing a quick reply message and hitting enter the “sorry that page doesn’t exist” message appeared.
