I don’t know about you, but I personally feel like lock screens simply have too much potential that isn’t being used for the right purposes. This is one of my favourite cydia apps right now and her is why.
When I look down at my iPhone 5s, I don’t only want to see who called and what the time is. Instead, I feel like the lock screen should be a source of important information which can be displayed without needing to unlock a phone, thus wasting too much time. Well, it seems like a jailbreak tweak known by the name of TodayLock is close to the exact lock screen design that I’m looking for.
This Cydia app doesn’t oversaturate the lock screen with useless information, but instead, it only shows what’s needed the most. Studies have shown that people often unlock their phones so many times in order to check if anyone called/texted, to see upcoming events and to check what the weather conditions are. The simple activation and use of TodayLock can easily help you see all this information without needing to complicate the way your lock screen looks like, thus keeping it both informative, but also simplistic.
Its features are well built and integrate smart, while also keeping a simple look. For example, the screen blurs whenever a user receives a text or call in order to display the most relevant information, instead of current events or the weather. As the cydia app has this certain way of ‘thinking’, most users with a jailbroken iPhone will quickly get used to it and find that it’s simply a great app to have. Additionally, the customization options which are built in are great and can allow a user to toggle different switches which control functions of the app such as whether the temperature is displayed in Degrees or Fahrenheit and many more.
When it comes down to the installation of the cydia app, anyone with an Internet connection and a jailbroken iOS device can get it. There are a couple of customizations options that you may want to consider before using the app to ensure that you get access to the exact experience that you’re looking for.
All in all, anyone who wants to have more information on their lock screens, but don’t want to jeopardize the simplicity can get this Cydia app and be happier with their phones.
Have you tried TodayLock? Would you recommend it?
