Over in the iOS 8 update, Apple decided to bring in quite an interesting feature which is meant to make replying to messages received via the stock Messages app an easier experience for just about anyone. Unfortunately, app developers do not have access to the API code needed to make this happen on their chat apps, so it would be nice if users got this feature as well, as like many others, I use WhatsApp on a daily basis and wouldn’t mind a quick reply feature. In order to fix this issue, a Cydia app known by the name of Nuntius comes to help.
Nuntius, which is basically a new jailbreak tweak meant to solve this issue brings a native iOS 8 reply function over to WhatsApp, which is an instant messaging app used by millions of people from all around the world. This means that whenever you receive a message in WhatsApp and it displays normally in the Notification bar, users will now be able to go ahead and type a response directly in it. This means that the process of answering to a message will be faster, but also that users may be able to answer to messages while in other apps in the future, which would definitely be an interesting feature to see. What I really want to have a look at, is a Cydia tweak that takes WhatsApp messages and places them in a small rounded box somewhere on the screen, just like Facebook’s Messenger does, especially since the two companies have merged.
When it comes down to the ease of use of this Cydia tweak, it can be safely said that anyone can find use in it, as long as WhatsApp is installed on the targeted iOS device. It’s also important to state that there is no preference panel, so the tweak comes ‘as is’ and manages to bring in a native quick response feature for WhatsApp notifications, which is honestly something that people from all around the world have been looking for.
Based on everything that has been outlined so far, what do you think about Nuntius? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
