Paying for the CarPlay app is a thing of the past now, because this week, the popular and reviewed app will be launched on Cydia under the name ‘Ignition’. The best thing about it is that this time, it will be free.
Created by a well known app creator, Adam Bell, “Ignition” has been very popular, which is why the decision of making it free came quite as a surprise. This Cydia app is the cheaper and much easier to use version of the usual CarPlay head unit that costs somewhere around $500 and has a very bad resistive touch screen that is hard to use at times. However, according to the app description, despite the fact that “Ignition” works perfectly on iPads, it has a lot of bugs and iPhones are generally not supported. Adam Bell has stated that the new iPhone 6 Plus may be able to support the app, though further testing has to be done to prove this.
After downloading the Cydia tweak, the mounting process begins, but it is quite simple and does not require special skills. After the app has been installed, the easy to use interface of the app will definitely make things better and more exciting for all those that download it. The “Ignition” app is a great alternative to the usual expensive head units that are installed in cars and now, since it is free, anybody can enjoy it and make the atmosphere more exciting and more interesting in the car.
Based on everything that has been outlined so far, what do you personally think about Ignition? Is it a Cydia app that you would consider using over in your car? If you’ve already tried it out, what did you think about it? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
