Let me give you a word of warning: this next jailbreak tweak is not for everyone. If you are like me and you are incredibly meticulous about organizing your home screen, however, InstallReset is a very handy Cydia tweak to have. What it does is very simple: it forces the apps on your home screen to revert to its alphabetical order whenever you install or uninstall a new app.
InstallReset makes installing new apps or removing unused ones very convenient. You no longer have to get used to the new locations of the home screen icons every time you make changes to your phone. The jailbreak tweak is also very customizable. You can have it enabled when new apps are added, when you remove old apps, or both.
The jailbreak tweak is also very easy to install and configure. Once installed, you can enable or disable the tweak from the stock Settings app. To test if the tweak is working, simply install a new app or remove an app that you no longer use. You will see the home screen automatically reorganized once InstallReset is triggered.
InstallReset does the same thing as going to Settings > General > Reset and selecting the Reset Home Screen menu. However, it does it automatically so you don’t have to go through the menu manually. The tweak itself is available via Cydia if you have the ModMyi repository added. InstallReset is also available for free, so you can give it a try and decide if you like it.
