Today, we’ll take a look at yet another great Cydia tweak that just about anyone who doesn’t enjoy the way that the volume animation HUD appears can use. There are multiple ways to check and change the current volume of your device, and one of them is to push the volume buttons at the side of your phone. VolumeStatus 2 is a new neat Cydia tweak that allows its uses to quickly find out what is the current volume level simply from the Status Bar.
This tweak introduces a volume level indicator on the Status Bar, further allowing you to quickly glance at the volume level without the need to utilize the volume buttons. It won’t indicate exact volume, but it gives you a general idea of how high it is. Curved lines next to the icon show the volume level of the device. Increasing volume level adds more lines next to the icon. A maximum of four lines can be reached. Reducing the volume level has the opposite effect.
Once the Cydia tweak has been installed, it can be enabled or disabled using the preference panel within stock Settings app. It also contains the kill switch, as well as the option to hide the volume HUD that appears in the middle of the screen when the volume level is adjusted. These are all the functionalities this neat little Cydia tweak has in store for you. The developer has indicated that there will be more of those in the future, which can be considered great news, although we’re not really sure what else can be offered apart from a few more ways to display the volume in the status bar.
Have you ever tried VolumeStatus 2 from Cydia? If yes, what was your opinion about it? Would you recommend it to a friend?
