As you may already know, over two months have passed since Apple killed the iOS 9.0.x version of the jailbreak. Since that happened, we’ve seen a couple of iOS updates, but to update on the Pangu jailbreak tool.
Based on this, it is no wonder why jailbreak enthusiasts from all around the world are worried. Pangu’s latest jailbreak tool was broken by Apple on the 21st of October, when the Cupertino-based company released iOS 9.1 which fixes the security exploits that the Pangu team used to jailbreak the device. With this in mind, iOS 9.0.2 represents the last version of iOS which can be jailbroken. However, as Apple has stopped signing the software, iOS users are unable to upgrade or downgrade to it.
There have been numerous reports pointing out that Pangu and the folks at TaiG are working on a jailbreak meant for iOS 9.2. It seems like the tool is nearly complete, as the jailbreak teams have managed to find a few more exploits. Unfortunately, at this moment in time, there is no news regarding the possible release of the jailbreak app.
In the fortunate case that you are still on iOS 9.0.x, then our suggestion would be to not update and continue enjoying your jailbreak until the official tool is out for the newer operating system. However, if you are on iOS 9.1 or another one, then your best bet would be to simply update.
Based on everything that has been outlined so far, what do you personally think about Apple’s continuous war against jailbreak enthusiasts? Will Pangu or TaiG end up releasing a tool anytime soon? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
